Since releasing Take Care, Drake hasn’t missed a beat. After about a year of almost strictly features, October’s very own Drizzy is finally back on the scene with some new music.
"Started From The Bottom" was originally rumored to be released on Grammy night but Drake obviously had other plans. He opened up in a recent blog post:
"I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well."
There’s something different about Drake’s sound on this track. What do you guys think? Will “Started From The Bottom” stay at the bottom or head straight to the top?
What do Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, and James Taylor have in common?
According to the presidential inaugural committee, they will be performing at President Obama’s inauguration this month!
James Taylor and Beyonce both performed at President Obama’s first inaugural ceremony in 2009, so this will be Kelly Clarkson’s first time performing at such an event.
Congratulations, you guys!

Fans attending the 12-12-12 benefit concert to aid those hit by Hurricane Sandy got a special surprise today. After extending an invitation to the Rolling Stones a few weeks back, event organizers Harvey Weinstein, James Dolan, and John Sykes announced that the iconic group would join the star-studded lineup at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, December 12. The rest of the performers include Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Eddie Vedder, Bon Jovi, Kanye West, The Who, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, and Chris Martin.
One Direction Invaded Madison Square Garden and My Eardrums Are Still Intact
Every little girl’s dream is to just catch a glimpse of their favorite boy band. Just once. Unfortunately, for me, that never happened. I begged and pleaded with my mom to buy me tickets to go see the Backstreet Boys (or the lesser, inferior *NSYNC lads) in concert, but her response was always the same: “Why do you need to go to their concert, don’t you have their CD?” Yes, mother, I do. So I never did get the chance to go see BSB or *NSYNC or O-Town or LFO or Dream Street… Yes, I was really, really desperate.
Rihanna's label mate Kanye West decided to jump on a remix of her newest single from her upcoming album, Unapologetic.
Let’s be honest. Is there anyone out there that didn’t see this collaboration coming? I mean, it’s only right that Kanye West, the man who created the 2005 hit “Diamonds From Sierra Leone,” helps Rih Rih out. You remember the good ol’ phrase from Jay-Z’s Roc-a-fella empire: “throw your diamonds up!”
Well, the Roc is clearly in effect for this remix. We’ve got a track with two stars that undoubtedly shine bright called “Diamonds.”
Makes perfect sense to us.

Musicians are just like us! Just because some of them are globetrotting multi-millionaires who just so happen to date supermodels and have multiple No. 1 hits, doesn’t mean that they can’t get down like the rest of us normal folk! Case in point: Maroon 5's leading man Adam Levine. The band tends to gather around for Old Hallow’s Eve to throw a pretty happenin’ party and Adam pulls out all the stops for his costumes.
For 2010’s Halloween, Mr. “Moves Like Jagger” himself decided to time warp back to 1988 and raid Die Hard's wardrobe trailer to portray action hero, John McClaine. Extra points for the bandaged feet! The following year, Adam decided that flying solo is boring and teamed up with his then girlfriend, supermodel Anne V, to reincarnate one of the epic music videos known to man: Guns N’ Roses' “November Rain”. Anne pulled off the Stephanie Seymour “hi-lo” wedding dress and Adam did stay true to Axel Rose's signature style (just look at that wig!), but the couples' costume would've been pulled off without a hitch if he would've gone for Axel's nuptial attire instead of Americana inspired biker shorts! Let's be honest, Adam would look mighty dapper in a Beauty and the Beast-inspired tuxedo, ruffles and all.
Which of Adam’s costumes do you like more: 2010’s John McClaine getup or 2011’s Axel Rose “November Rain” look?
Lady Gaga the Plant?

The Lady Gaga that we’ve all grown to love as a musician, artist, and performer has a little something else to add to her resume.
While celebrities usually have their own lines of clothing or cologne and perfume, Lady Gaga has her own line of ferns. Yes, ferns.
Dr. Kathleen Pryer, a biology professor at Duke University, saw fit to name an entire genus of ferns in honor of Lady Gaga. Why you ask? Well, after months of studying these ferns, it was concluded that these specific ferns thrive in desert habitats, which is unusual for ferns. They dare to be different from other ferns.
See the connection now? So it was only right that Dr. Pryer name the new genus of ferns “Gaga ferns” as a way to celebrate diversity. The two new species of ferns have more technical names to pay even more homage to the artist. One is Gaga germanotta, using Gaga’s real last name, and the other is Gaga monstraparva, a play on Gaga’s Little Monsters fan base.
All we can say is, you never really know who you are inspiring! Go Gaga!
Tyga is a dad! T-Raww welcomed his first son last week with girlfriend, Blac Chyna. Bombshell Chyna starred as the damsel-in-distress in Tyga’s “Rack City” video. The couple named their tyke name King Cairo Stevenson. If this little guy’s name is King, what does that make Tyga? An Ace? An Emperor?

Any day is a good day when Bruno Mars releases some fresh material!
Bruno recently released “Locked Out of Heaven” as the lead single off of his upcoming album, "Unorthodox Jukebox." But get this, it’s not the typical Bruno that we’ve all grown to love. He steps out of the box a little bit and goes old school for this cut. Mars' sound strayed away from the sound of his previous hits like “Grenade” or “Just The Way You Are.” “Locked Out of Heaven” is more reminiscent of The Police around 1981.
Give it a listen to see why Mr. Mars feels like he’s been locked out of Heaven.
We dig it, Bruno!
